Manchester United have made their transfer decision on Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, according to The Daily Mail.
The Cityzens were heavily linked with the Argentine earlier last month, with reports suggesting that he could be reunited with incoming manager Enzo Maresca.
However, that does not appear likely to happen. Man City are clearly prioritising the transfer of Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest to boost their midfield.
Fernandez was under consideration to reinforce their midfield department, and they are no longer exploring the idea of signing the World Cup winner.
Meanwhile, Man City have yet to confirm Maresca's appointment as their next boss while they negotiate a compensation package with Chelsea.
The Blues sacked Maresca midway through last season, but he remains under contract with them. Man City are negotiating a fee for his release.
It appears only a matter of time before a sum is agreed upon. Man City are already planning for the summer with Maresca as their next boss.
