Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is believed to be very interested in signing Blackburn's international striker Roque Santa Cruz this summer.

The departure of Mark Hughes from Ewood Park has left the forward very unsettled, and a number of Premiership clubs are monitoring Santa Cruz's situation.



It is believed that Arsene Wenger could offer Nicklas Bendtner plus £3 million in exchange for the talented forward who had a superb first season in the Premiership.



Whatever the outcome of Arsenal's interest, Manchester City and Mark Hughes are sure to be ready to also make a bid for the forward.
