Arsenal are set to confirm their fourth signing of the summer transfer window with midfielder Bruno Guimaraes having undergone his medical tests.
The Gunners agreed a package worth £75m to sign the 28-year-old yesterday, and he has since flown to London to complete his medical successfully.
The midfielder has also put pen to paper on a four-year contract, and he is expected to be formally confirmed as a new player in the next 24 hours.
Guimaraes is set to become the club's fourth acquisition of the transfer window after Piero Hincapie (loan-to-buy option), Illan Meslier and Christos Tzolis.
The Gunners are expected to make more signings before the transfer deadline. A marquee left winger remains one of the top priorities for the hierarchy.
The club are likewise keen on landing a central defender, having witnessed William Saliba sustain a back injury during France's World Cup semi-final vs Spain.
Arsenal are yet to make formal bids for any other player.
