Arsenal could entertain the departure of striker Viktor Gyokeres before the transfer window closes on September 1.
The Sweden international had a solid debut campaign with the Gunners last term, scoring 21 goals across all competitions.
Despite this, his future at the club remains uncertain. Gyokeres was an unused substitute in the Premier League curtain-raiser.
It is now claimed that Arsenal are contemplating his potential exit and it may well depend on them bringing in a marquee striker.
The Gunners hold a keen interest in signing Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez but he has been reluctant to consider the move.
Galatasaray's Victor Osimhen remains the other target for the Gunners, but he has to accept a massive pay cut to make the switch.
Gyokeres' situation is being closely monitored by Atletico and Barcelona, and the latter seem best placed to make a proposal.
The Swede's agent has been in contact with sporting director Deco and an approach could be made if the Gunners open the door for his exit.
