18 September 2007 - 16:18

Macauley Chrisantus has been the subject of intense interest from Europe's largest clubs. The U-17 World Cup top scorer is being chased by Arsenal, Tottenham, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Liverpool, Barcelona, Sevilla, Lyon and Ajax.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • It is believed that Tottenham could be in pole position to sign the player with an offer of £1.5m which was rejected by Macauley Chrisantus' club FC Abuja.

Real Madrid have already had £1m offers rejected and Arsenal's scouts have been closely monitoring Chrisantus' position.

It is believed that his agent Adam Mohammed is in England trying to tie up a transfer.

The advisor to Chrisantus and Mohammed, Chris Nathaniel, said: "There is enormous interest in Macauley. He’s a special player. That’s why there’s a battle to sign him."
