Wolfsburg have added another impressive recruit to their rapidly improving ranks, as they signed Palermo defender Andrea Barzagli on a permanent deal.

Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath told Kicker: "We are glad that the talks with Palermo have been completed successfully.



"It says a lot for our work that a player of this stature is willingly to join VfL Wolfsburg. He brings the quality that we need, especially when you consider we are playing in the UEFA Cup."
