Drogba staying at Chelsea

Drogba staying at Chelsea

14 June 2008 - 13:36

Ivory Coast international forward Didier Drogba has insisted he wishes to stay at Chelsea; despite continuous news reports that the forward is set to be sold to either AC Milan or Inter Milan this summer.

  • Chelsea ready to pay €75m for Eduardo Camavinga
  • Chelsea planning move for Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli

  • Drogba instead wants to see out the remainder of his contract at Stamford Bridge, and is looking set to be part of Luiz Felipe Scolari's plans at Chelsea.

"I have a contract with Chelsea until 2010, so I am still a Chelsea player," the striker told skysports.com during a promotional campaign for his autobiography back in Ivory Coast.

"Mourinho is my friend and I am happy for him because he was missing coaching.

"He is a top coach but, like I said, my contract here runs until 2010."
