Zico linked with Portugal job

14 June 2008 - 21:19

Brazilian legend Zico has been linked with the soon to be vacant Portugal managerial job. Luiz Felipe Scolari has decided to move on to join Chelsea; and Zico - who was linked with the Chelsea job previously - is looking for work after leaving Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

  • Man Utd star preparing farewell video ahead of transfer
  • Chelsea winger suffers head injury vs Nottingham Forest
  • Scolari left Portugal because he was offered more money by Chelsea. But Zico is happy to consider the move.

"Of course the chance to coach a top national side or club is always good, even if it's just to test your ability to work at that level," he told Brazilian television station SporTV.

"The Portuguese national side is today seen as one of the best in Europe, and they have the best player in the world.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is having a great time. Who wouldn't want to coach a team like that."
