Ronaldo told to stay at United

15 June 2008 - 09:38

Cristiano Ronaldo will not be leaving Man Utd this summer; according to a club insider. The Portuguese winger has reportedly told reporters that he is intent on signing Real Madrid and would prefer not to be returning to Old Trafford after the summer.

  • Chelsea ready to pay €75m for Eduardo Camavinga
  • Chelsea planning move for Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli

  • Real Madrid have reportedly set aside a whopping 182,000 per week GBP to bring the winger to the club.

"If Ronaldo submits a formal transfer request, it will be rejected," a United insider told the Mirror. "The management and the entire board are at one over this issue and that is that the player is not for sale.

"Ronaldo's head may have been turned by reports of all the money he could be offered by Real Madrid, but he isn't exactly on peanuts at United. And he won't be getting a penny more."
