Bolton sign Elmander

Bolton Wanderers have finally sealed the transfer of Swedish striker Johan Elmander from Toulose.

  • The Trotters had been searching for a long term replacement of El Hadji Diouf and they have signed Sweden international, Elmander from French club Toulose for an undisclosed fee.



    The 27-year old signed a three year contract with Bolton to end furthur speculation on his transfer. The deal will see winger Daniel Braaten join Toulose as a part exchange offer.



    Bolton manager Gary Megson stated in the club's official website,



    "Johan is a player I have admired for a long time.



    "He's a player who will get us goals and also create other opportunities for his team-mates."



    Elmander had been a permanent fixture in the Sweden sqaud for the Euro 2008, playing in all three games.
