Wenger expects Emmanuel Adebayor stay

29 June 2008 - 10:35

Despite a summer of speculation linking Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor with an exit from Arsenal, the Gunners' boss Arsene Wenger is confident that the player will decide to stay in London.

  • Chelsea make first move to sign Bournemouth star
  • Atletico Madrid planning shock move for Chelsea star
  • Milan were reportedly offering big money to both Arsenal and Adebayor to enable a quick sale, but the player supposedly decided he wished to stay at the club.

"He's under contract and that's quite simple. I can tell you as manager of Arsenal Football Club I'm not worried,” said Wenger. "Of course I expect him to be at Arsenal next season - he's under contract."
