Totti Not To Return

Totti Not To Return

01 July 2008 - 20:44

AS Roma midfielder Francesco Totti has admitted that he is not thinking about coming out of international retirement and is only thinking about recovering from the knee injury.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • Totto retired at the end of the 2006 World Cup final and didn't feature for Italy in the Euro 2008 finals. With the official declaration by the Italian football federation that indeed Marcelo Lippi is the new coach of the Azzurri, there have been rumours that Francesco Totti would be persuaded to come out of international retirement.

However the Roma star is not thinking about that and said:

"I wish all the best for Lippi, with whom I have a relationship of respect.

“However at this moment the only thing I have in my head is my recovery from this knee injury."
