Amr Zaki has revealed that he missed out on an opportunity to join Wigan Athletic and Steve Bruce after his club chairman at Zamalek denied the player the exit he was looking for.

"I was surprised when he told me that the club will not allow me to leave under any circumstances," Zaki told FilGoal.com. "He then got angry and swore at me.
