The chase for the transfer of Russian midfielder Andrei Arshavin is really heating up, as both Chelsea and Arsenal lead the way to land the Zenit St Petersburg midfielder for a fee believed to be in the region of £15 million.
There are rumours that Chelsea have made contact with Arshavin's agent and are very close to agreeing a move with the player's representatives.
However, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has maintained an interest in the talented Russian, and is set to make a last minute offer to land the talented player that helped Russia to the semi finals of the Euro 2008 tournament in Austria and Switzerland.
