Premiership and European champions Manchester United have reiterated that their prized asset Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale. A Man United spokesman dismissed the rumours as "laughable".
Latest reports emanating from Spain suggested that Real Madrid and Man United had agreed upon a deal in principle after the Glazer family supposedly accepted Real Madrid's 90 million euro bid for the player.
The 23-year old Portuguese international winger is arguably the best footballer in the world at the moment and has been linked with a move to Real for weeks.
A Manchester United spokesman had this to say about the situation on Friday evening:
"It is utter nonsense and totally laughable. Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale."
