09 July 2008 - 18:11

Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has made it clear that the club shall do all it can to keep Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge next season. Kenyon has remarked that Chelsea would see to that Lampard stays on until the end of his contract.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • The England international has long been speculated to leave the Bridge for Inter MIlan this summer and Chelsea confirmed that the Italian champions indeed had launched a bid for the player.

Chelsea also said that they had rejected the offer. And now Peter Kenyon comes up with this:

“We’d like to hope that we can reach an agreement but of we can’t we have always worked on the basis that he sees out the terms of his contract,” Kenyon warned.

“The situation is ongoing. We have always maintained that we want Frank to stay and an offer was made to that effect.

“That offer is still on the table and Frank has another year to run on the current deal.”
