Newcastle United are set to make a £15 million offer for Bayern Munich striker Lukas Podolski. It is understood that the Geordies are eager to find a new striker for next year, and Podolski is the top of Kevin Keegan's list.
Podolski has never been that happy at Bayern Munich, and several times clubs such as Manchester City have shown an interest in the Germany international forward.
Podolski showed his talents to an extent in Euro 2008, scoring several important goals for Germany.
It is understood that Bayern Munich may be considering offers of around £18 million to let the German leave the club.
