Antonio Lopez to Spurs?

Antonio Lopez to Spurs?

28 July 2008 - 08:56

Tottenham are understood to be interested in full back Antonio Lopez Guerrero, currently playing for Spanish side Atletico Madrid. It is believed that Juande Ramos has earmarked the Spaniard as the replacement for Younes Kaboul and Pascal Chimbonda; who are both quitting Tottenham.

  • Arsenal to battle Napoli to sign Alexsandro Ribeiro?

  • Lopez is one of the better full backs in Spain, and has spent seven years at Atletico Madrid proving he is more than capable of playing for a bigger club.

At one stage, both Real Madrid and Barcelona were interested in landing the defender who is comfortable playing in midfield.

Lopez now has 16 caps for Spain, and it is believed Tottenham may have to fork out £4 million to bring him to the Premiership.
