Bent: I'll replace Keane

29 July 2008 - 09:43

Tottenham striker Darren Bent believes that he is the man to replace Robbie Keane, after the Irishman completed a £20 million transfer to Liverpool. Bent grabbed four goals in their last pre-season friendly yesterday.

  • Darren Bent told Setanta Sports: "When you lose someone like Keano it’s disappointing, he had five great years at Tottenham. Obviously I feel like I can fill the void and hopefully given the chance I will be able to do it."

"You have always got to be ready, as long as when I’m called upon I can do what I do, then I’m happy."

"I didn’t play an awful lot last season but when I get on the pitch I do the best I can and it pays off."
