Keane wants more signings

Keane wants more signings

31 July 2008 - 12:56

Sunderland boss Roy Keane has admitted he is likely to dip in the transfer market even more this summer, as Bobo Balde was linked with a move to the Black Cats.

  • £75m star to snub Man Utd for Man City move?
  • Man Utd winger in talks to join German club
  • "I appreciate we have a lot of players, but we're bringing a lot of quality,” Keane told the Sunderland Echo. "I also know that we need to let one or two go and we have to wheel and deal ourselves.

"People keep saying I'm signing lots of players, but I don't think I've signed that many – hopefully it's not over yet.

"I have maybe another two or three more players in mind we hope to make progress with over the next few days.

"We'd like to think they will be in before the Ajax game but in this transfer game you can't predict what's going to happen.

"We're delighted with the bodies we've got in, but know we need more and I'm hopeful."
