Valencia chief Fernando Gomez has made it clear that the club's two star players, David Villa and David Silva, shall remain at the Mestalla beyond the summer.
There has been a tremendous speculation on the Spanish duo pertaining to their future at Valencia.
While Villa has been linked with a move to Chelsea, Silva is reportedly on the books of FC Barcelona, who are even thought to be looking forward to launching a bid for the player in the coming days.
Although Valencia had so far sent out confusing remarks on the status of the Spanish duo, they have now said that both the players are close to agreeing deals at Valencia.
"Both are close to continuing," said Gomez. "Yesterday afternoon we spoke with Villa's agent and on Tuesday we will do the same with Silva's.
"We want the players to stay."
