Arsene Wenger has revealed that the club have moved a step closer to replacing Keith Edelman. It is understood that Arsenal have already shortlisted various men to take over the role, including former Manchester City chief executive Alistair Mackintosh.

  • “It is progressing quite well,” Wenger told the club’s official website.



    “We are getting to the end of the story. I am involved in it and I am consulted for it but it is down to the board to make that decision.



    “Having consulted me, they will take the responsibility to name the right person. I think the decision will be made soon but I don’t know exactly when.”
