Arsene Wenger has revealed that the club have moved a step closer to replacing Keith Edelman. It is understood that Arsenal have already shortlisted various men to take over the role, including former Manchester City chief executive Alistair Mackintosh.
âIt is progressing quite well,â Wenger told the clubâs official website.
âWe are getting to the end of the story. I am involved in it and I am consulted for it but it is down to the board to make that decision.
âHaving consulted me, they will take the responsibility to name the right person. I think the decision will be made soon but I donât know exactly when.â
