Milan struggle continues

23 September 2007 - 14:59

AC Milan's slow start to the new Serie A season continued as they were held to a 1-1 draw in the San Siro by Parma. Clarence Seedorf fired the European champions ahead just before the interval, but the visitors rescued a point 17 minutes from time through Andrea Pisanu.

  • Rossoneri coach Carlo Ancelotti told the club's official website: "We expected a different start to the season, we must learn to improve the management of an advantage and from tomorrow we will work on this.

"However, the table does not worry me. It's a long season and we must improve our weaknesses.

"We have many solutions available and we rarely don't score, but we must not concede goals.

"In the Champions League and in the league we go on the pitch with the same spirit, because for us both competitions are important.

"We should be more careful in preparing for these games. The league is an important objective, as much as the Champions League."
