Morientes to Tottenham?

08 September 2008 - 10:30

Valencia striker Fernando Morientes could well be on his way to Tottenham. The former Spanish international forward is rumoured to be the subject of long term interest from Spurs' coach Juande Ramos.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Morientes already has experience playing in the Premiership after a spell playing for Liverpool.

It is understood that Tottenham are hoping to bring Morientes in for free in January, and is looking for more depth in his attacking area of the squad.

Dimitar Berbatov joined Manchester United in a £30 million deal last week, and Spurs are keen to bring in a replacement for the Bulgarian.
