Marcelino Garcia has hinted that he shunned the opportunity to move to the Premiership in favour of staying at his current club, Real Zaragoza.
It is understood that Newcastle had lined up Garcia as a replacement for Kevin Keegan, but the Spaniard instead decided to stay at his current club.
He said: "I've signed a two-year deal with Zaragoza and I'm not going to move anywhere even if a lot of money is offered. My only idea is matching Zaragoza's objectives."
