Marcelino Garcia has hinted that he shunned the opportunity to move to the Premiership in favour of staying at his current club, Real Zaragoza.

  • It is understood that Newcastle had lined up Garcia as a replacement for Kevin Keegan, but the Spaniard instead decided to stay at his current club.

He said: "I've signed a two-year deal with Zaragoza and I'm not going to move anywhere even if a lot of money is offered. My only idea is matching Zaragoza's objectives."
