There are reports emanating from France this morning that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has made initial inquiries regarding the availability of Monaco youngster Cédric Mongongu.
The 19 year old youngster, who has already represented his country, the Democratic Republic of Congo, has impressed Wenger with some inspired displays for Monaco.
The player is capable of playing in both defence and midfield, and Wenger is apparently ready to make an offer of around £3.5 million for the player.
Mongongu made his first appearances for Monaco last year and has since become on the fringes of the first team, and has consistently shown signs of improvement at the Ligue 1 side.
