Keane may loan out players

Keane may loan out players

17 September 2008 - 12:59

Sunderland boss Roy Keane has admitted that he could let Anthony Stokes and Carlos Edwards leave on loan as neither player are part of his long-term first team plans.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • "There has been interest in Carlos and I'll have a chat with him," he told the Sunderland Echo.

"I've had no calls about Stokesy, but I'm open-minded with some of the players on the fringes and, if a club wants to ring up and ask about Stokesy, we'll have a chat.

"He's keeping his head down and he's working hard.

"I think it would have helped if he'd been away with Ireland Under-21s last week. He would have benefited from that because he needs games."
