Hull City 0-3 Chelsea

Hull City 0-3 Chelsea

30 October 2008 - 06:07

Frank Lampard scored one of the finest goals you will ever see as Chelsea recovered from defeat against Liverpool in perfect fashion, with a 3-0 victory over Hull City at the KC Stadium.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • Normal services really were resumed as Chelsea proved that their defeat against Liverpool was just a blip.

Nicolas Anelka, Frank Lampard and Florent Malouda were all on the scoresheet as the Blues battled to an impressive 3-0 victory.

Lampard's goal was absolutely sublime, as he opened the scoring from poor defending from McShane, then took a nice touch before chipping over the oncoming Boaz Myhill.

Myhill saved from Joe Cole, back after a three-week absence with a foot injury, and was struggling to deal with a Lampard free-kick that went narrowly wide.

Anelka doubled their lead, as he nipped in ahead of Myhill to send the ball home.

The third came late on from Florent Malouda, as he hit home from Carvalho's cross on 75 minutes.
