“Colo demonstrated his ability at the Olympics in Beijing and could be an international central defender for Argentina for a long time,” said Maradona. “I spent a few days in China with our Olympic team and Coloccini was well established in that group.



“On Jonas, I have to evaluate him more, but the fact he is in England could be a very important help to him.



“I have watched him a few times and he is one of the key players that I want to study in the next friendly matches. He is quick, and could be very valuable to the game we want to play.”
