Birmingham City's transfer target, Middlesbrough striker Yakubu will be well outside their transfer budget. After Steve Bruce tried to push through the transfer of Mido, the Blues have been eager to get hold of a striker for the upcoming season.
Middlesbrough rate their Nigerian striker very highly; and have reacted angrily at reports Birmingham are weighing up a bid for him. Middlesbrough are believed to value Yakubu at more than £15 million.
