Foster staying put at Man utd

07 November 2008 - 06:59

Manchester United backup goalkeeper Ben Foster has admitted he is happy at the club, and has no intentions of leaving the club. Tottenham were reportedly keen to bring the youngster in on loan.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players

  • "The manager called myself and Tomasz in last week and he has reassured me it is in my best interests to stay," he said.

"It was something that needed to be done and it was good to have that opportunity.

"The boss has not got to where he is without being a good man-manager. It is nice to know you can go in, talk to him and listen to what he has to say.

"It was a good meeting and he has made me and Tomasz a bit happier about the whole situation.

"Going on loan was an option at the start of the season but I have forgotten about that now.

"The manager has big plans for the goalkeepers and I am very happy to stay and fight for the jersey."
