Manchester United have been linked with a shock move for Barcelona and Spain international midfielder Andres Iniesta. The player is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in the Iberian region, and United are willing to pay a whopping £16 million to bring Iniesta to Old Trafford.
Iniesta has been at Barcelona all of his life, and previously hinted he would be happy to stay there for the rest of his career.
However, the lure of working for United and for Sir Alex Ferguson could prove too much, and Ferguson is making tentative enquiries as to the player's availability in January as he looks to find a replacement to the injured Owen Hargreaves.
