Sunderland boss Roy Keane could make a shock bid for VfB Stuttgart striker Mario Gomez next summer as he looks to build a strong attacking duo with Djibril Cisse.

Gomez has been linked with a move to the Premiership for sometime, and the VfB Stuttgart man could be allowed to leave the club for around £12 million.



With several of Europe's biggest clubs all reportedly interested though, a move would be a big shock for the frontman.



Real Madrid and Juventus are among some of his suitors.
