Djeparov, Khalil at Chelsea

Uzbekistan player Server Djeparov and UAE youngster Ahmed Khalil are reportedly at Chelsea on trial with a view to a permanent signing.

Djeparov was named Asian player of the year meanwhile Khalil was named Asia's young player of the year.



It is believed that Frank Arnesen has recommended that Chelsea make moves for the pair after impressive seasons.



A Chelsea spokesman, Simon Greenberg, confirmed the movement: "Subject to getting all the necessary permissions and the players wanting to come, we would be delighted to welcome Server and Ahmed at Cobham.



"Our agreement with the AFC is proof of our commitment to help develop football in Asia and this invitation can only increase the exposure to the world of the quality in Asian football."
