Robin van Persie has been quick to defend himself after there were reports that the Dutchman was the unnamed 25 year old at Arsenal at the centre of controversy in William Gallas' much maligned book.
Gallas revealed in his book that there was a player who was a disruptive influence in the dressing room who was undermining the rest of the squad with his behaviour.
van Persie snapped: ''Are you suggesting that William was talking about me?!
''I don't know that, because he never told me anything and I didn't see my name in the papers, so I never felt that he was speaking about me. For me, there isn't a problem.''
