Man City in for superstar?

04 December 2008 - 08:23

Manchester City are reportedly ready to sign a major world superstar in the January transfer window. It is not yet sure who that might be, but Kaka has been linked with a move away from Milan to the City of Manchester in the past few days.

  • There had been talk even of Cristiano Ronaldo being a target for the ambitious club.

A club insider revealed: "They are going for a big player. If they really want to be a big club and move to a new level they need to get a big player in, and that would mean one of Kaka, Messi, Ronaldo or Tevez, because of his availability.

"Unless a player like that can be signed then it will be a struggle, and the sooner it is done the better, which means trying to do so in January. Then others will follow."
