Benzema's move to Real not on?

After signing Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, it has emerged that Real Madrid could well now forget about signing Karim Benzema from Lyon after the striker had long been linked with a move to Madrid.

"I do not know if the interest is still there, but it is clear that for now it would be impossible. We should bring in a player who can participate in the Champions League, who is young and we can develop for the future," said Calderon on a potential move for the Frenchman.



It is understood Lyon are reluctant to sell their star player, and that Benzema is hankering for a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona after the season ends.
