Manchester City have been linked with a stunning move for French international winger Franck Ribery from Bayern Munich when the January transfer window reopens.
It is understood that Bayern have admitted defeat in their efforts to prevent the player from leaving, and Ribery could now be set to join City for a fee in the region of 22 million GBP.
Ribery has shown in Germany that he is one of Europe's most highly rated players, and now City are prepared to splash the cash to land the talented winger.
