West Ham turn down Bellamy bids

West Ham turn down Bellamy bids

16 January 2009 - 09:10

According to reports, West Ham have turned down bids for Welsh international forward Craig Bellamy from both Tottenham and Manchester City. It is understood that the Hammers have turned down an opening offer of around 10 million GBP for the player.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • Previously, West Ham had admitted that they would consider a quick sale of Bellamy in the January transfer window should an incoming club offer a 'substantial amount' for the player.

It seems that West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola is keen to keep Bellamy, but if the player is to leave Upton Park for Tottenham, he is keen to bring Darren Bent to Upton Park as a replacement.
