Portsmouth near Pennant move

Jermaine Pennant is close to completing a move from Liverpool to Portsmouth, according to reports. Pennant was apparently a target for Real Madrid boss Juande Ramos over the last couple of weeks.

However, Portsmouth are apparently ready to offer 7.5 million GBP to Liverpool to allow the England winger to leave Anfield.



It is understood that Tony Adams remains confident of landing the player, who started his career at Notts County and then Arsenal.
