After PSV's 3-0 win over Heerenveen on Wednesday night they were disqualified from the tournament for fielding defender Manuel da Costa.
Da Costa had been given a one match ban at the end of last season. The defender was was in the starting line-up for Wednesday night win. Reker stated âThis is an inexcusable blunder, I have immediately taken the decision to alter our administrative affairs procedures. We will make a thorough investigation and believe me, you haven't heard the last of that, We always compete for silverware, so I really, really regret not being able to win the Dutch Cup this season.â
