Man City in late Forlan bid

There have been reports that Manchester City have launched a shock, late offer for Uruguayan international striker Diego Forlan from Atletico Madrid. City are apparently prepared to pay 16 million GBP for the former Man Utd man.

The rumours emerged after Forlan was spotted in Manchester at around 1pm GMT this afternoon with his agent.



It is understood that Forlan could be brought in to replace Robinho should the Brazilian decide to leave the club.



Forlan is certain to ruffle a few feathers at his old club, Manchester United if he joins the Citizens.
