Manchester City have been linked with a £10 million move for Ivan Rakitic, the talented playmaker currently at German side Schalke 04. The Bundesliga giants are reluctant to sell the Croatian.

However, Mark Hughes is expected to be very busy in the closing stages of the January transfer window, and will make a last ditch effort to bring the Croat to the club.



Michael Johnson is expected to be leaving City at some point today, and boss Mark Hughes is eager to find some reinforcements for the struggling side.
