There has been a shock rumour at the eleventh hour that Arsenal could make a move for Chelsea and France international midfielder Florent Malouda.

If Arsenal's move for Andrei Arshavin collapses, Malouda has been lined up as a potential replacement for the Russian.



Malouda is unhappy with life at Stamford Bridge, and it is reported that Luiz Felipe Scolari told the Frenchman that he could leave the club if a suitable offer was received.
