Blackburn Rovers midfielder Tugay announced that he will retire at the end of the season. The Turkish veteran is 38 years old.
The former Turkey international had played 200 matches for Blackburn Rovers after he was signed from Scottish club Rangers in 2001 for £1.3m
The Rovers boss, Sam Allardyce, paid tribute to him. "He had a magnificent time and a magnificent run, playing at top form for most of his career," said Allardyce
