Brown wants a win at Villa Park

Brown wants a win at Villa Park

04 May 2009 - 11:22

Hull City boss, Phil Brown, has urged his players to fight for a win against Aston Villa in the Premier League match tonight. The relegation battling Hull is in a bad form with only one win in 18 games.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Phil Brown had a terrific run in the first half of the season with his team well placed for a european cup spot. But, a poor run in form has made them go down, with just three points clear of the drop zone.

Hull City will play Aston Villa tonight, who are also having a poor run in form. Villa's story is not different, Martin O'Neill's men had high hopes for a Champions League spot at the start of the season. But a nine games without win run had thrashed their hopes and they are wanting a win badly.

With both teams looking for a win, it is clear that tonight's match would be a worth watch. Statistics say that the team who scores first would win it. Villa had won 14 times this season in the match they scored first, Hull has done it 11 times.

Brown said that he has conserved his team's strength to fight against the top teams in the league. He added that the few experienced players in his squad would inspire the youngsters to look for a win.

Hull City have Folen suspended, but, their captain Ian Ashbee returns. Daniel Cousin who has scored six goals, also makes a return for Hull City.
