Bham vs Man Utd: preview

B'ham vs Man Utd: preview

29 September 2007 - 02:01

If Man Utd beat Birmingham it would be four consecutive wins in the Premiership for Man Utd, desperate to stay close to Arsenal for the Premiership title. Man Utd suffered shock defeat in the Carling Cup in midweek, but the big names will be back for Man Utd.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Last weekend however, Man Utd picked up a useful 3 points against Chelsea, thanks to a little help from a strange refereeing performance, and sit second in the league behind Arsenal.

Another three points against Birmingham will extend a run of 4 consecutive wins in the league and it appears United are not going to release their Premier League crown without a fight.

Birmingham's central defenders Johann Djourou and Liam Ridgewell were outstanding last weekend at Anfield and a performance of the same variety could keep Birmingham in the game in this key encounter.

Possible Starting XI: Taylor - Kelly, Djourou, Ridgewell, Queudrue - Larsson, Nafti, Muamba, Palacios, Kapo - Jerome

Possible Starting XI: Van der Sar - Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra - Ronaldo, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs - Tevez, Rooney.
