Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is apparently set to make a shock move for Velez Sarsfield central midfielder Leandro Somoza in the summer. The 28 year old Argentinian international has already attracted the interest of several Italian sides.

Tony Pulis is ready to offer £2.5 million to bring the player to England, but it is understood that there could well be work-permit issues prior to his arrival.



Somoza is regarded as one of the finest holding midfielders in the Argentinian leagues. Somoza has previously spent some time with Villarreal in Spain.
