Bargain hunting Fulham could be set to make an offer for Werder Bremen's defensive midfielder Peter Niemeyer at the end of the season, according to reports.

The Werder Bremen man has been a bit-part player at the German side, but Fulham boss Roy Hodgson has had scouts monitoring his progress for over 6 months and has been impressed with what he has seen.



The Cottagers are ready to offer £2 million to bring the former German under-21 international to London.



Niemeyer spent his formative years in Holland, playing five years at FC Twente.
