Real and Zidane eye Ribery

Real and Zidane eye Ribery

14 June 2009 - 05:18

Recently appointed Real Madrid advisor Zinedine Zidane admits the club are keen to bring his fellow countryman to the Bernabeu.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd interested in signing Aurelien Tchouameni
  • ‘Zizou’ is a known admirer of the Bayern wide man come playmaker and clearly believes he would offer plenty to Madrid.

"We really hope that he will sign," Zidane told RMC Radio.

"It would be superb news for the club.

"If he was to come over to Madrid I would be delighted to welcome him."

Despite having spent in excess of 120 Million Euros on Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo in the last 10 days, it is thought that Perez has given Real an unlimited bankroll for the coming season as they aim to match Barcelona and their home grown stars.

And after FC Bayern supremo Uli Hoeness recently admitted it would take a ‘crazy’ offer to take Ribery away from Munich, it seems that the ‘unlimited bankroll’ will truly be put to the test.
